In 1985, Dr. Vasant N Patil established Vijaya Eye Clinic in the burgeoning residential heart of Vijayanagar, Bangalore. Driven by a commitment to ethical medical practice, Dr. Patil envisioned a specialized center where patients could receive accurate ophthalmic diagnoses and personal attention without commercial compromises.
As ophthalmic medicine revolutionized through microsurgery—moving from large-incision extractions to ultrasonic sutureless phacoemulsification—Vijaya Eye Clinic continuously invested in cutting-edge technology. Modular day-care operating theatres were introduced, high-precision acoustic biometers were acquired, and specialized vitreoretinal services were established.
Today, operating proudly as Vijaya Eye Hospital (incorporating the trusted clinical heritage of Vijaya Eye Clinic), the institution encompasses two full-service branches: our flagship hospital in Vijayanagar (MC Layout) and our modern West Bangalore center in Nagadevanahalli (Outer Ring Road).
